On Sunday, #ohiogtchat will be back. We will be talking about gifted children with Asperger's Syndrome. Below are the questions that we posing, and a few resources to familiarize yourself with this topic. For me, I have had to do research. I have only had one student with Asperger's a few years ago.
  1. Characteristics vary between gifted children, children with Asperger's Syndrome and giftedness, and children with only Asperger's Syndrome. What are some of these defining characteristics?
  2. What are some characteristics that parents of gifted children who have Asperger’s Syndrome need to share with teachers to ensure these children get the appropriate education?
  3. What teaching techniques can teachers use to ensure they are giving gifted children with Asperger’s a challenging and appropriate education?
  4. How can teachers and parents work together to make sure gifted children aren’t misdiagnosed with Asperger’s?
  5. What resources can you share with others who have little experiences teaching gifted children with Asperger’s?

I'm really interested in learning more about gifted children. As someone who grew up with knowing some, I'll definitely make this information useful. I hope that you can provide a video of some sort for us, your readers. I'll try to research more about this subject from the resources you posted. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
